Log in with Bybit: connect without copying API keys
You do not have to create an API key on Bybit and copy it into the bot: you can log in to your Bybit account and allow access — the key for the bot is created automatically. Sending the key and secret as text still works too.
What it is
The 🔐 Log in with Bybit button opens the official Bybit page. You log in to your account and allow access for the SyncTrade application, and Bybit issues an API key for the bot. The bot checks this key the same way as a key entered manually and stores it encrypted.
Where it is in the bot
- When creating a bot: 🤖 Signal Bots → Create bot → exchange → trade type → name → on the keys screen, the 🔐 Log in with Bybit button.
- For an existing bot: 🤖 Signal Bots → the bot → Bot settings → Update API keys → the same button.
How to connect
- Tap 🔐 Log in with Bybit. The link is personal and valid for 30 minutes — do not forward it.
- On the Bybit page, log in to your account and allow access for the SyncTrade application.
- The page “One more step: confirm in Telegram” opens. Tap Confirm in Telegram — you have 10 minutes.
- The bot opens. Confirmation is accepted only from the Telegram account in which you are creating the bot.
- The bot sends “✅ Bybit account (UID 123456789) is connected to the bot «MY_FUTURES». The key is verified: trading permissions are in place.” Tap ▶️ Continue — then as usual: channels and trading settings.
For an existing bot the message is different: “✅ The key of the bot «MY_FUTURES» is replaced: Bybit account (UID 123456789) is connected.” — with the ⚙️ Bot settings button.

The permissions are set by the SyncTrade application, you do not configure anything. The bot still checks the key: trading permissions, read-only, copy-trading master account — as with manual input.

How to revoke access
Deleting the bot in Sync does not delete the key on Bybit. To close access completely, open API management on Bybit and delete the SyncTrade application key. After that the bot can no longer trade on this account; to connect again, just tap the login button once more.
Common errors and what the bot says
- “Connection cancelled” — you did not allow access on Bybit. Tap the button in the bot again or send the key and secret as text.
- “The link has expired” — more than 30 minutes have passed or the link has already worked. If the bot has already said the account is connected, everything is fine.
- “The confirmation link has expired or was already used — nothing was connected.” — confirmation was not tapped within 10 minutes. Tap the login button again.
- “Confirmation declined: this link was issued by a different Telegram account for its own bot.” — you opened someone else's link. Nothing was connected. Do not log in to Bybit via links other people send you.
- “This Bybit account is already connected to your bot «MY_SPOT». For a second bot on the same account, create an API key on Bybit manually and send it as text.”
- “This Bybit account is already connected to another SyncTrade bot.” — the account was connected via the button by another Sync user. If this is your account and you did not do it, delete the SyncTrade application key on Bybit (see “How to revoke access”) and contact support.
- “Bybit did not accept the login: the link has expired or was already used.” / “Bybit is not responding right now.” — try again in a couple of minutes.
