Three bots and the channel owner
Three Sync bots are involved in running a channel, but only two of them have to be added to the channel. The channel owner in Sync is not any administrator of the Telegram channel, but one specific person — whoever first added the main bot as an administrator.
The three bots

Bot permissions

The bots need no other permissions.
Who the channel owner is
The channel owner in Sync is whoever first added the main bot as an administrator. This is recorded once and does not change. Only the owner:
- sees the 📢 Channel administration button in the main menu — open signals, history, statistics, export;
- receives private messages about problems with signals: a post that “was not accepted as a signal”, or a signal for which “none of the channel subscribers has a futures bot with auto-trading enabled”.
Being an administrator of the Telegram channel is not enough for this: a second admin will have no cabinet.
Commands inside the channel (/close, /change_…, /activate) meanwhile work for anyone who can post in the channel: Telegram does not tell the bot which of the admins wrote the message.
If the channel is connected by someone who will not work with it
Add the main bot from the account of the future owner. Ownership cannot be transferred through the interface — only through support.
If signals will be published in the channel by a bot of your own, that bot cannot be the owner: the owner is the person who added the main bot. Details in Autoposting signals from your own bot.
Common mistakes and what the bot says
- No 📢 Channel administration button in the main menu — you are not the owner. The owner is whoever first added the main bot; changing the owner goes through support.
- “⚠️ No service bot is available right now, so the connection cannot be completed. Please contact support — we will fix this quickly.” — service bots are assigned from a pool and none is free at the moment. This is rare; write to support.
- “⚠️ The main SYNC bot was removed from the channel. Signal processing is stopped. To resume: add the main bot back as an administrator and send /activate.” — someone removed the bot from the administrators. The same happens when the service bot is removed: “⚠️ Service bot @… was removed from the channel. Signal processing is stopped. To resume: add the service bot back as an administrator and send /activate.”
