How to connect to a signal channel

For signal trades to open on your account, you need to link your Signal bot to a channel and turn on auto-trade. Below is what has to be ready and where it is done.

What this is

A signal channel is a trader's Telegram channel that its owner has already connected to Sync. As a subscriber you configure nothing in the channel itself: it is enough to be a member and tell the bot which channel to take signals from. One Signal bot connects to one channel; if you follow several channels, create one bot per channel (each bot has its own pair of API keys).

What you need beforehand

1. You are a member of the channel in Telegram. The bot learns this on its own through the channel's service bot — the list for connecting shows only channels you belong to.
2. A Signal bot of the right type is created: Bybit Futures for signals with leverage, Bybit Spot for signals without leverage (more in Spot and futures signals).
3. The notification bot is connected, otherwise you will not see that a trade has opened: Main menu → 🔔 Notifications.

Where it is in the bot

Main menu → 🤖 Signal Bots → your bot → Connect channel.

If the bot has just been created, the wizard offers Connect channels or Connect later itself — this is the same screen.

How to set it up

1. On the “Choose a channel to connect to your bot” screen, tap the channel you need. The connected channel is marked in the list with pointers 👉 … 👈, and a line “Connected channel: …” appears above the list. Until a channel is chosen, the line reads “The bot currently has no connected channel”.
2. Go back to the bot card and turn on the Auto-trade switch. Without it signals are recognized but no trades are opened — they can only be opened manually with the 📈 Open signal button under the post.
3. Check your Trading Settings: trade amount, leverage, stop policy. They are applied on top of every signal (see Trading settings).

Only you turn auto-trade on: neither the bot nor the channel admin can do it for you. The ⚡ Enable auto-trading button under the post merely opens the bot card with the switch.

How to make sure everything works

• In the bot card: “Auto-trade: ON”, and the “Channel:” line shows the name of your channel instead of “not connected”.
• Main menu → 📡 Signals — the channel appears in the list with a “Bots in channel” line.
• After the next signal you get the messages “Signal recognized from channel "…"” and “Signal sent to bot "…"”, and the trade card shows “Source: automatic from "…"”.

Typical mistakes and what the bot says

• “You have no channels with signals connected. Connect a channel in bot settings.” — on the 📡 Signals screen none of your bots is linked to a channel yet.
• “You have no trading bot connected to channel "…"” — the reply to a button under a post: create a bot, connect the channel and press the button under the signal again.
• “The channel is currently off — its signals are not processed.” — the channel admin has paused signal processing; wait until it is switched back on.
• The channel is not in the list — you are not a member of it in Telegram, or the bot has not yet noticed that you joined. Check your membership and open the screen later.
