Infinity Grid

Infinity Grid is a grid without an upper bound. When the price exhausts the top level, the bot adds new levels above it by itself and keeps trading in a rising market. It is available on spot only and only for the Long direction.

What it is

The text of the bot screen: “Grid without an upper bound. When the top level is exhausted, new levels are added automatically.” The main parameter is “Grid step (profit per level)” in percent: the distance between neighbouring levels, which is also the estimate of the profit of one level cycle.

Why spot only and Long only: on futures a grid without an upper bound means a liquidation risk on strong growth, and for Short the upper bound is the protection itself. The bot explains it this way: “Infinity Grid is available only for SPOT accounts. On futures without an upper bound, a strong pump risks liquidation.”

Where it is in the bot

Main menu → 🪜 Grid Bots → ➕ Create Grid Bot → the confirmation screen → the button ♾️ Infinity Grid: OFF. The button is shown only for a spot bot with the 🟢 Long direction. Once enabled it looks like ♾️ Infinity Grid: ON (1.0%).

In the card of such a bot, instead of “📊 Levels: N” you see “📊 Levels created: N, top @ $X” — the number of levels grows with every extension.

How to set it up

1. Tap ♾️ Infinity Grid: OFF. The screen “♾️ Infinity Grid” opens with the lines “Status: disabled” and “Grid step (profit per level): 1.0%”.
2. Tap ♾️ Enable Infinity → “✅ Infinity Grid enabled. Grid step: 1.0%.”
3. To change the step, send a number from 0.1 to 10: “To change the step, send a number from 0.1 to 10 (in percent).” The answer: “✅ Grid step set to 2%.”
4. The Disable button brings back the regular grid: “Infinity Grid disabled. A regular closed Grid will be created.”

How it works

• When the price exhausts the top level, the bot adds 10 levels upward and sends: “✅ Infinity Grid BTCUSDT — grid auto-extended! • Levels added: +10 • New upper price: ≈ 72,000 • Total extensions: 3/50 … New levels will appear on the exchange as the price moves toward them. No manual action is required.”
• At least 15 minutes pass between extensions.
• There are no more than 50 extensions in total — that is up to 500 levels above, the exchange limit. After that the bot reports: “⚠️ Infinity Grid BTCUSDT — maximum extension limit reached. … Create a new Infinity Grid with a higher starting price. The current bot keeps running on existing levels.”
• New levels are new orders; watch the overall order limit of the exchange (see Exchange order limit) and the balance.
• The 🔄 Recreate grid button is not available for an Infinity Grid; the other editing buttons work (see Editing a running bot).

Example with a calculation

A spot Long on BTCUSDT: 20 levels of 10 USDT, step 1 %. The price grows and exhausts the top level:

With a 1 % step and 10 USDT per level every level cycle gives about 0.10 USDT before fees — the same as in a regular grid; Infinity only keeps the bot from stopping when the price goes above the starting range.

Common mistakes and what the bot says

• “Grid step must be between 0.1% and 10%. Please try again.” — for example, you entered 0.05 or 15.
• “The lower price for Infinity Grid must be greater than zero.” — check the range line on step 4.
• “⛔ Infinity Grid cannot be recreated this way — use partial edit or create a new bot.” — you tapped 🔄 Recreate grid; change the bounds, the density and the order size with the separate buttons, or create a new bot.
• “Infinity Grid works only in LONG direction (upward without a bound). For SHORT use the regular closed Grid.” — the Short direction is selected.
