Presets: Conservative, Standard, Aggressive
A preset is a ready-made set of averaging parameters. It is chosen at step 5/6 of the wizard; some of the values can then be corrected with buttons on the confirmation screen.
What it is
The three presets differ in the number of orders, the step between averaging orders, the profit target, leverage and the protection thresholds. The more aggressive the preset, the more frequent the buys, the more orders and leverage — and the faster the whole cycle amount ends up in the position.
Where it is in the bot
Main menu → 📉 DCA Bots → ➕ Create DCA Bot → step 5/6 “Choose a parameter preset:” → 🛡️ Conservative, ⚖️ Standard, 🚀 Aggressive. The ⚙️ Custom parameters button takes Standard as its basis.
Preset values
| Parameter | 🛡️ Conservative | ⚖️ Standard | 🚀 Aggressive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Averaging orders | 3 | 5 | 10 |
| Active averaging orders on the exchange | 3 (all) | 5 (all) | 10 (all) |
| Amount multiplier | 1.5 | 1.5 | 2.0 |
| Step between averaging orders | 1.5 % | 1.0 % | 0.5 % |
| Price step multiplier | 1.0 | 1.0 | 1.2 |
| Take-Profit | 1.0 % | 1.5 % | 2.0 % |
| Leverage (futures) | x1 | x3 | x5 |
| Stop-Loss | 5 % | 7 % | 10 % |
| SL baseline | from first entry | from average | from average |
| Consecutive stops before the bot stops | 3 | 4 | 5 |
| Cooldown between cycles | 60 s | 45 s | 30 s |
The same in all three: CROSS margin, reinvestment 0 %, trailing off, one TP for the whole position, SL trigger type Mark Price, immediate start.
How to read the table:
- Amount multiplier 1.5 — each averaging buy is 50 % larger than the previous one; 2.0 — twice as large.
- Price step multiplier 1.2 — each next step between averaging orders is 1.2 times wider than the previous one: 0.5 %, then 0.6 %, then 0.72 % and so on. At 1.0 the steps are equal.
- Leverage x3 and x5 are the defaults of Standard and Aggressive. The bot's risk screen recommends moderate leverage of 1-3x: after choosing a preset, lower it with the ⚖️ DCA Leverage button on the confirmation screen.
What can be changed and what cannot
On the confirmation screen, with any preset, you can change: leverage, margin type, TP %, SL %, SL baseline, SL trigger type, number of orders, active orders, cooldown, reinvestment, SL Timeout, trailing, start condition, TP strategy (see Custom parameters).
Only by picking another preset: amount multiplier, step between averaging orders, price step multiplier and the number of consecutive stops before the bot stops — the wizard has no fields for them.
Example with numbers
Long, entry at 100.00, no averaging buys yet (average = 100.00).
| 🛡️ Conservative | ⚖️ Standard | 🚀 Aggressive | |
|---|---|---|---|
| First averaging order | 98.50 (−1.5 %) | 99.00 (−1 %) | 99.50 (−0.5 %) |
| Next step | another 1.5 % | another 1 % | another 0.6 % (0.5 × 1.2) |
| Take-Profit | 101.00 | 101.50 | 102.00 |
| Stop-Loss | 95.00 | 93.00 | 90.00 |
| The bot stops after | 3 consecutive stops | 4 | 5 |
After averaging buys, the TP and an SL measured "from average" are recalculated from the new average — an example with numbers is in How averaging works.
On futures, Standard opens the position with x3 leverage and Aggressive with x5: with the same cycle amount the position is three to five times larger, and liquidation is closer. The bot shows an estimate in the summary line “⚠️ Estimated liquidation”.
